7th & 8th: Girls – white button down collared blouse with plaid skirt. Boys – blue polo shirt with blue shorts OR Grey pants.

ThursdaySept 21st – Individual & 8th Grade Graduation Pictures

N&PK: students can wear their normal attire, preferably Dress UP **
K-7th Grade: Students can be in Uniform or Dress UP **
8th Grade Graduation: Girls – white button down collared blouse with plaid skirt. Boys – Blue long sleeved collared shirt with tie.


   ** Please remember that we are a Catholic School and appropriate dress is required.

Payments are to be brought in ON PICTURE DAY! Cash & Money Order are accepted. NO PERSONAL CHECKS! Change cannot be given.

OLGCA announces FREE After School Program for 2017-18

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As we approach the start of the new school year, we have some very exciting news to share with you! This year, our Extension Program will be in conjunction with the Federation of Italian-American Organization of Brooklyn, Ltd. This means that our Extension Program will be of no cost to our K-8 grade parents/guardians.

In order to participate in the program, this  Registration Form must be completed for each child. There is no registration fee. The Form will also be available in the school office beginning today, Thursday, August 24, 2017. We ask that if you are interested in the program for the 2017-18 school year, please send in or drop-off your completed form to the Main Office. The registration will be ongoing, but early registration is preferable. Students in grades K-8 that do not register by September 7, 2017, would not be eligible to start on September 11, 2017. They would be able to join the program the following week, but parents/guardians would have to make other arrangements for pick-up the first week. Also, no student would be allowed to participate in the program that has not filled out a Registration Form.

The program will include enrichment activities along with academic assistance.  Due to spacing, specifically the gym, some of the activities would be scheduled between 3 and 4:30 pm which means any academic assistance would be completed after the activity time.  Students participating in the program would be required to participate in the scheduled activities.  The activities would vary and would be teacher organized.

Since the program is of no cost, the parents would be required to provide their child/children with their own snack.  Snacks would not be provided by the Federation.

Please be advised that the Federation would not be able to accommodate our students on school half-days.  Such days, as monthly faculty meetings, report card, etc., student after-school care would be the responsibility of the parents/guardians.  While we understand that this maybe a hardship for many, the benefit of the free extension program most certainly outweighs the hardship of approximately 14 half-days for the entire school year.

The program sponsored by the Federation only applies to the After School Extension program and not the Early Morning Program (which will still be available at a nominal fee).

I believe this program will not only ease the economic burden of child care to the parents of our school, but also provide a club environment for our students on a regular basis. 

The Federation, Faculty and I look forward to working with you and your children during this new school year.
